We welcome you to join us for an exclusive, one-day screening of the inspiring documentary film, Normie. The event is co-hosted between the DSSRI and an interdisciplinary project between the University of Rhode Island’s Psychology and Communication Studies departments.

When Annemarie looks in the mirror, she sees Down Syndrome. She hates it. To her, the diagnosis is a giant barricade keeping her from the independence and intimacy she desperately desires. The screening will start promptly at 3:00pm in the Hardge Forum, located in the Multicultural Student Services Center. Take URI's main entrance to the Visitor's Center to register and park your vehicle.
We will begin with a brief introduction by Crystal Greene, the DSSRI President and Margaret Rogers, a previous DSSRI Board member. Post film discussion will be held by Crystal and Margaret's URI students. This event is open to family, friends, and the community! Refreshments and light snacks provided.
